چکیده

The SU(2)L ⊗ SU(2)R symmetric Yukawa model with mirror-fermions in the limit where the mirror-fermion is decoupled is studied both analytically and numerically. The bare scalar self-coupling λ is fixed at zero and infinity. The phase structure is explored and the relevant phase transition is found to be consistent with a second order one. The fermionic mass spectrum close to that transition is discussed and a first non-perturbative estimate of the influence of fermions on the upper and lower bounds on the renormalized scalar self-coupling is given. Numerical results are confronted with perturbative predictions.

Grand unification for mirror fermions

The possibility of grand unification of the standard model (SM) with fermion spectrum extended to include mirror fermions is examined. SM gauge couplings do not automatically unify. SO(10) grand unification is studied with one intermediate scale. Renormalization group equations (RGE) for fermion Yukawa couplings and the scalar self-coupling are studied numerically at one and two loop level. Str...

Yukawa couplings in intersecting D - brane models

We compute the Yukawa couplings among chiral fields in toroidal Type II compactifications with wrapping D6-branes intersecting at angles. Those models can yield realistic standard model spectrum living at the intersections. The Yukawa couplings depend both on the Kähler and open string moduli but not on the complex structure. They arise from worldsheet instanton corrections and are found to be ...

Single and Double Universal Seesaw Mechanisms with Universal Strength for Yukawa Couplings

Single and double universal seesaw mechanisms and the hypothesis of universal strength for Yukawa couplings are applied to formulate a unified theory of fermion mass spectrum in a model based on an extended Pati-Salam symmetry. Five kinds of Higgs fields are postulated to mediate scalar interactions among electroweak doublets of light fermions and electroweak singlets of heavy exotic fermions w...

Nondecoupling of Heavy Mirror-Fermion

According to one-loop perturbation theory, fermions whose masses are totally generated from Yukawa couplings do not decouple in the heavy mass limit. We investigate this issue nonperturbatively in the strong coupling regime of the chiral U(1) mirror-fermion model in four dimensions. Our numerical results, obtained on 6 · 16, 6 · 24 and 8 · 16 lattices, indicate nondecoupling of heavy fermion an...

We investigate a U(1) lattice chiral gauge theory (LχGT) with domain wall fermions and gauge fixing. In the reduced model limit, our perturbative and numerical investigations at Yukawa coupling y = 1 show that there are no extra mirror chiral modes. The longitudinal gauge degrees of freedom have no effect on the free domain wall fermion spectrum consisting of opposite chiral modes at the domain...
